The Forza is super light, and crazy, crazy comfortable. I quickly got used to slipping them on my feet, which takes a bit more focus. I keep the laces very loose, and wonder if I need laces at all! But, I don’t want to create the work of rethreading them to try wear testing with no laces.
The Forza runner runs small. The Xero website recommends a half size up, but for me, a men’s 12 is my usual “true” size and this wear tester pair is a 13. With a bit of extra space at the toes, I think a 13 is ideal for racing a marathon for a PR, with just a little extra toe room for down hill comfort.
Other colors for men include all black, all white and a white/grey/black combination. Ladies get a sky blue option. The outsole reminds me of a favorite, and is similar to the HFS model. The rubber is just a bit softer than their trail shoes, thus more quiet on hard surfaces and just a touch softer feel. Perfection IMO. The insole is easily removed for more space or road feel. I enjoyed running on pavement, or trails in them. This week I ran a few miles indoors on polished concrete and loved them, then I ran pure barefoot, which is part of my annual colder weather drill/annual pure barefoot “tune-up”.
You’ll want this shoe! I hope to keep mine like new for races. Maybe someday I’ll qualify for the Boston Marathon, or maybe I’ll run a 100 mile race in the Forza Runner. No limits. This feels, and looks, like a PR shoe. She’s a beauty. See my video review below.
